22 Tango Records, in partnership with Create Cebu, is kicking off their first ever campus roadshow this September! As a follow-up to last year’s Grow Cebu Music Summit, which essentially was a music conference and workshop, the two organizations wanted to expand the movement with Grow Cebu Music: The School Tour 2017.
It will be held in 6 major schools in Cebu City with a unique line-up of testimonials, talks, and performances from homegrown music makers.
For the first week, the first stop of the tour will be Southwestern University. On the second, it will be Cebu Institute of Technology-University, Maria Montessori International School, and the University of Cebu-Banilad. We’ll be capping off the tour with St. Theresa’s College and the University of San Jose-Recoletos towards the end of September.
The first 30 students to register in every GCM event get a free set of Havaianas earphones! Also, get a chance to win a Grow Cebu Music t-shirt.
The school tour will serve as a prequel to the Grow Cebu Music Summit, which will take place in December 2017 during Create Cebu’s Criss-Crossings: A Craft and Culture Walkabout, a gathering and celebration of the city’s makers and propagators of creativity and culture.
Grow Cebu Music: The School Tour 2017 is spearheaded by 22 Tango Records in partnership with Create Cebu and supported by Mactan Cebu International Airport and in cooperation with Havaianas Philippines.
