With an album launch, a single launch, and a major school tour for a major campaign, among other highlights, 2017 has been a big year for us, to say the least. Even more so as we finally and officially launched Room Eleven Recording Studio and our very own office last November 30, Thursday.

We invited close friends over and had a nice little gig right outside our headquarters. Music playing lovebirds Sepia Times, opened the show, followed by Ella Melendez who was home away from home. The Wonggoys came up next and made sure everyone had a good time, while announcing that it was also Bill Wong’s birthday that day.

Vincent Eco, who helped develop Room Eleven’s logo, took the stage and ended his set with a surprise birthday song dedicated to the birthday boy, Bill, as Cattski came out with a cake for him.  Loop played next, giving their songs an acoustic treatment.

Mother Folker treated everyone to an impromptu performance as the crowd boisterously sang along. The evening was capped off by neon-drenched Mandaue Nights on a synthpop, neo-disco note.

Needless to say, it was a fun celebration of music shared with friends and loved ones,  a promise of greater things to come in 2018 – definitely more music creating and listening.
