In celebration of heritage and culture, 22 Tango Records brings a special edition of The Listening Room to Casa Gorordo Museum this August 19, Saturday, at 4PM called The Listening Room: Museum + Music.

The Listening Room is an intimate live music session featuring music written, composed, and performed by the songwriters themselves. A music policy called the #shhhhpolicy will be in full swing to keep background noise to a minimum as The Listening Room is truly designed for conscious listening.

The Listening Room: Museum + Music is a collaboration with Casa Gorordo Museum that aims to create the connection between an old era and the modern world through music.

The audience will go on a guided tour of the Casa Gorordo Museum, which will serve as an opportunity to learn about the history of Cebu City, giving them a glimpse of the history they haven’t seen.

A convergence of old and new, the tour will end at the museum’s azotea where it will culminate with The Listening Room. It will feature homegrown artists Cattski Espina, Jerika Teodorico, Mary Anchit, Ella Melendez and Vincent Eco, who encapsulate modern Cebuano music.

At Php 300 only, culture buffs will be treated to an experience that is both educational and soulful. The goal of Listening Room: Museum + Music is to have this mindfulness linger until the culminating music event, which will then hopefully foster conscious and active listening.
