It might be hard to count more than two hands, but the world does not stop at number 10. Cattski continues to keep tabs on the good times through Ten (2010), the anniversary album. Even if the group has disbanded and frontwoman Cattski Espina has transitioned as a solo artist, Ten is proof that Cattski has been one of the proponents of modern Cebu music.
A decade after their first album, their songs are still played on the airwaves and the band’s influence on the new generation of musicians is apparent. Ten is an anthology of the classic Cattski songs such as Gap and Hero. Some of the songs like High & Low and Drunk have been rearranged from their original releases. It would seem that all four albums were seamlessly stitched into one nostalgic collection. Even if Anne, Brian, and Junnel have already gone their separate ways, Cattski is still here to stay. As the saying goes, it ain’t over ’til the cat lady sings.
