This week on Songs of Summer, we played two shows in separate events!
Still in partnership with Ayala Malls, the first day of our gig series was held in its traditional spot, in Ayala Terraces, Cebu.
We started off the night with a performance form the groovy Thinking Chair, who brought the crowd to their feet with their danceable tunes.
Jerika performed two of her newest songs, capturing the crowd with her ever-amusing of spiels and heart-tugging lyrics.
Sepia Times played their latest single “The Art Of” for the crowd, giving them a good dose of ectro-magic.
We finished off with an animated set from Intertwined, bringing with them funky, fresh beats wherever they go.
Songs of Summer also brought the music to Central Bloc, IT Park last Saturday, May 4, making it the first installment of the gig series in the site. With the clear skies and the cool wind, it was the perfect time to spend the evening out and listen to good music.
Opening the event was the band Duende, offering a musical retelling of the experiences we as humans often encounter in our journeys through life and love.
The usual duo JRuss x DT came back with their band, with Samantha Solidum on the drums and Karl Lucente on the bass, rendering a spectacularly fresh tone to their music.
Oh! Caraga performed for the second time in Songs of Summer, breathing in life into the fading scene of folk music.
We capped off the night with a magnificent performance from the Wonggoys, who always manages to put the crowd at ease, with their chill riffs and relatable lyrics.
Catch Songs of Summer every Wednesday at Ayala Terraces, Cebu and every Saturday at central Bloc, IT Park.
